Energy Modeling In a High bay Industrial area + Office
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by Marcelo Maciel de Santa Helena on
What’s the best way to proceed with the energy model of the following case? The building is a 4000m² manufacturing building where there is a small office area and a large high bay industrial area.
Building Facade lighting - ASHRAE Baseline values
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by Maya Karkour on
Dear All, I'm looking at Table 9.4.5 of ASHRAE 90.1-2007 which lists the maximum allowable LPDs for building exteriors.
Energy modeling of an open roof stadium in a hot climate
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by Mario S. on
Good day, I have the following question regarding the energy modeling of a very large soccer stadium in a hot climate: My proposed design involves floor mounted and side mounted jet fans that are
Daylight dimming with manual electric curtain
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by Jatuwat Varodompun on
My project has a dayligh dimming system and alos the curtain of each window. The reviewer ask me to add the effect of how this curtain will be modeled.
Air Curtain in conditioned space
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by Jatuwat Varodompun on
How should we model the air curtain at the building entrance? Should we model as process load for both baseline and proposed?
Integrated System - Space heating and water heating
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by CT G on
We are working in a project that has a gas-fired boiler that supplies hot water for space heating (radiant floor) and domestic hot water. Do we need to comply with efficiencies in tables 6.8.1F an
Baseline HVAC Model System-8 VAV PFP Boxes with Outdoor Air Unit
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by Ivan Priatman on
Dear LEED, We are designing a medical office with VRF system, to fulfill iaq requirements we add independent outdoor air unit comprises of supply and exhaust fans on each zone.
Modeling Radiant Panels with DOAS
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by Michela Tedeschi on
Since eQUEST is unable to model dedicated outdoor air system linked to the radial panels, we modeled DOAS units by creating “dummy zones” within the model.
Exhaust fan not interlocked with HVAC: Process energy or not?
NC-2009 EAp2:Minimum energy performanceposted by Haojie Wang on
I remember reading it somewhere that exhaust fan that is not interlocked the the HVAC should be process energy (room exhaust).

I wonder if there is a standard to convert C-factor to U-factor or F-factor to U-factor. Is there a guideline to do so? Since not all energy program can let you input C, U, F as you desire.
