Pool Deck

NC-v4 SSc3:Open space

We understand that a swimming pool itself does not contribute,and we have been told we can exclude the pool from the calculations. Can we include the pool deck area itself?

Under LEED v4, do planters count as vegetated space? We are working on a project for a university and we are putting in planters.
